Diane Hu

Diane Hu is a Senior Software Engineer currently employed at Figma since June 2024, having previously held similar roles at Watershed from December 2022 to June 2024 and Facebook from July 2020 to November 2022, focusing on open research and transparency. Diane's earlier experience includes internships at Microsoft, working on Core Web Relevance and AI as a Data and Applied Sciences Intern in 2019 and full stack IoT projects as an Explore Intern in 2018. Additionally, Diane served as a Software Engineer and Researcher at LUCAS and co-founded Walla, both from October 2016 to July 2017. Diane holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Statistical Science with a minor in Economics from Duke University, completed in 2020, and graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School in 2016.
