John Lai is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in software engineering and team management. Currently serving as an Engineering Manager at Figma since April 2021, John previously held roles at Dropbox from June 2013 to March 2021, including Senior Engineering Manager overseeing the Core Sync team and Staff Software Engineer. John's career began at Google as a Software Engineer from August 2005 to September 2009. John holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Harvard University, where studies were conducted from September 2009 to May 2013, and an AB in Computer Science and Mathematics, summa cum laude, from Harvard University, earned between 2001 and 2005.
