Jonas Downey is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in management and design across various industries. Currently serving as a Design Manager at Figma since October 2022, Jonas also co-founded Hello Weather in January 2016. Previously, Jonas held significant roles at Twitter, including Design Director and Sr. Staff Designer, and contributed to Basecamp as Head of Design and Principal Designer over nearly a decade. Jonas's career began at Argonne National Laboratory as Webmaster for the Advanced Photon Source and included freelance web design and development services since 2000. Educationally, Jonas holds an MFA in New Media and a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
