Pratik Agarwal

Pratik Agarwal is a Software Engineer with extensive experience in distributed systems and database technologies. Currently working at Figma since May 2025 on the Databases team, Pratik previously contributed to Momento from June 2023 to May 2025, focusing on complex distributed systems as part of a startup environment. Prior to that, Pratik spent over five years at Amazon Web Services (AWS) from February 2018 to June 2023, where involvement in the launch of DynamoDB on-demand marked a significant milestone in managed database solutions. An early career internship at Amazon in 2017 led to improved latency on the landing page, while earlier experience at Caterpillar Inc. from July 2014 to June 2016 further honed technical skills. Pratik holds a Master of Science in Information Science/Studies from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer and Information Sciences from Visvesvaraya Technological University.
