Dan McGovern is an advisor at FIGUR8. Prior to their current position, they were an assistant professor at Endicott College from July 2016 to October 2017. Dan has also been a senior lecturer at Northeastern University from November 2008 to March 2011 and a clinical director and physical therapist at Prescription Orthopedic and Sports Therapy from May 2010 to May 2013. In addition, they were the president of Harborview Training Systems, Inc. from September 2011 to November 2016.
Dan McGovern has a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from the University of Connecticut, and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Connecticut. Dan also has a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Additionally, they are a Fellow of Applied Functional Science from the Gray Institute and is certified as a Registered International Sports Physical Therapist by the International Federation of Sports Physical Therapy. Dan also has certification from Gray Institute as a Functional Golf Specialist and as a Fellowship in Applied Functional Science (FAFS). Dan is also certified as a Three-Dimensional Movement Analysis and Performance System (3D MAPS) by Gray Institute and as a Certification in Applied Functional Science (CAFS) by Owens Recovery Science, Inc.
