Mingda Liu

Mingda Liu is a Senior Electromagnetic Design Engineer who specializes in the electromagnetic modeling and analysis of electric machines. They have extensive experience with FEA tools such as JMAG Designer and Ansys Maxwell, and possess knowledge in cooling design and thermal analysis. Mingda has held positions at various companies, including Lucid Motors, where they contributed to the development of next-generation propulsion motors, and Figure, where they focus on motor design for humanoid robots. They obtained a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, complementing their engineering education with significant hands-on experience in electric machine prototyping and testing.
