Cain Elliott has a diverse work experience history. Cain started their professional career as a Project Analyst at Apollo Rida Poland in 2006. Cain then worked as a Lecturer at Uniwersytet Warszawski from 2009 to 2013. Following this, they served as Faculty at the Graduate School for Social Research from 2009 to 2015.

In 2015, they joined the University of Pennsylvania, where they held various roles including Associate Lecturer from 2015 to 2017 and Visiting Fellow at the QNF Singh Center for Nanotechnology from 2015 to 2016.

In 2017, they transitioned to Margolis Edelstein and served as the Director of Business Intelligence from May to December. Cain then became the Chief Information Officer from January 2018 to November 2019.

Currently, Cain is working at Filevine, where they have held multiple positions. Cain started as the Senior Knowledge Architect, Solutions Engineering from November 2019 to May 2020. Cain then became the Director of Implementations and Training from May to December 2020. Currently, they hold the role of Head Legal Futurist, starting from December 2020.

Cain Elliott began their education in 2002 at Grinnell College, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies. Cain also studied Religion/Religious Studies and Central/Eastern European Studies during their time there. This four-year program concluded in 2006. In 2006, Cain Elliott furthered their studies at Lancaster University, where they earned a Master's Degree in Sociology, focusing on Culture and Society. Cain attended the university for two years, completing their degree in 2008. Subsequently, they enrolled in the Graduate School for Social Research at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Philosophy. This research-based program spanned from 2008 to 2012.
