Chad Mills

Chad Mills has a diverse work experience in the field of technology. Chad currently serves as a Cloud Architect at Filevine since 2021. Prior to this, Chad was a Business Owner at Elevated Technology Solutions LLC starting from 2019.

From 2019 to 2021, Chad worked as a Sr. Cloud Engineer at Virtual Clarity, where they were responsible for building critical infrastructure in AWS for companies of varying sizes. Chad also developed a serverless application for managing DNS entries and built an observability platform for the entire company.

Chad previously worked at Adobe from 2016 to 2019 as a System Engineer. During their time there, they developed a full stack serverless python application in AWS for whitelisting IP addresses. Additionally, they contributed to a Splunk environment that handled large data volumes and was involved in the development of Hubble, an open-source security compliance software.

Before Adobe, Chad held the position of System Administrator at Bear River Mutual from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they worked as a System Administrator at Genesys from 2012 to 2014, and also from 2012 to 2013.

Chad's career started as a Network & Systems Administrator at Solid Instance from 2011 to 2012, where they built and deployed servers and managed client systems. Chad also supported Cisco and open-source networking hardware.

Chad'searliest professional experience includes roles at Cemaphore Systems and Blue Casa Communications, where they served as a Network and Systems Administrator, Technical Support Engineer, and Desktop Support Lead from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, Chad worked as an IS Help Desk specialist at Select Staffing in 2003.

Chad Mills earned their Bachelors of Information Technology degree from Utah Valley University, specializing in Networking, Security, System Administration, and Web Design. Chad attended Utah Valley University from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, Chad attended Santa Barbara City College from 2003 to 2004, where they studied Digital Media, focusing on Photo Shop, Maya, and Adobe Flash.

In addition to their formal education, Chad Mills has obtained several certifications. In May 2017, they became a Splunk Certified Admin and a Splunk Certified Power User, both from Splunk. Chad also obtained the RHCSA certification from Red Hat in May 2016.
