Svp, Information Security, Privacy, Risk And Compliance (dpo) at Filevine

Dean Sapp has a strong background in information security, with over 20 years of experience in various roles. Their most recent role was as the SVP of Information Security, Privacy, Risk, and Compliance (DPO) at Filevine, a leading cloud-based collaborative work operating system for law firms. Prior to that, Dean served as the Chief Information Security Officer at IT Security Matters, LLC and Progrexion. Dean also held the position of Chief Information Security Officer at Braintrace, where they provided managed security services to the legal vertical and other professional clients. Before that, Dean was the Chief Information Security Officer at PortoFormia. Dean has also worked as the Director of Information Security at Progressive Leasing and held various roles in information security and risk management at Not for Profit and Akerman Senterfitt. Dean began their career as a Volunteer at Houston Texas Mission. Throughout their career, Dean has built security programs, developed cost-effective strategies to manage security risks, and provided exceptional security services to their clients.

Dean Sapp earned a Bachelor of General Studies in Business Administration and Management from Brigham Young University's Marriott Business School, completing this degree from 1997 to 2007. Later, from 2014 to 2018, Dean pursued a Master of Science in Information Security Management (MSISM) at the SANS Technology Institute, specializing in Information Security.

Dean also holds several additional certifications. These include the GIAC Security Manager (GSM) obtained from the SANS Technology Institute in October 2018, the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) obtained from ISACA in July 2017, the ITIL v3 Foundation certification obtained from ITIL in August 2009, and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) obtained from (ISC)² in April 2007.
