Ryan Cline has a diverse range of work experience spanning various industries and roles. Ryan began their career in 2005 as an Assistant Programmer at the Institute for Telecommunication Sciences, where they worked on cryptography and sound file testing projects. In 2007, they served as a Designer/Programmer at GK Cotton Consulting, Inc., focusing on converting files for AutoCAD. From 2008 to 2010, Cline worked as a Web Designer/Programmer at Spectra Solutions, contributing to website redesigns and development using PHP, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SEO.

In 2010, Cline joined HomeAdvisor as a Front-end Developer, primarily using XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP/Java, and SQL to create and improve website pages. Ryan also collaborated with various teams to enhance design, functionality, and performance. During this time, they developed a photo gallery uploading tool.

In 2010, Cline also started their own venture, Cline Web Solutions, where they worked as the Owner and Developer. Ryan provided website solutions for personal and small to medium-sized businesses, including building a custom Joomla component for an Orthodontic professionals' community site.

From 2012 to 2014, Cline worked at Time Warner Cable as a Software Engineer. Ryan contributed to projects involving the TWCTV application on SamsungTV and the Video Navigation UI Application for Cloud-Based IP STB. Their expertise included JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Backbone, and the MVVM pattern.

In 2014, Cline joined Charter Communications as a Sr. Manager of UX Development. Ryan led a frontend team of 20 in building a Cloud-rendered Video Navigator using custom technologies.

From 2015 to 2019, Cline worked at Shutterstock, initially as a Software Engineer III and later as a Principal Software Engineer. Ryan played a key role in creating a single mono-repo platform for all frontend applications at Shutterstock, specializing in component libraries, styling architecture, build and deploy pipelines, and developer experience. Cline also contributed to customer-facing products and helped establish a strong bond between development, design, and UX teams.

Finally, in 2019, Cline joined Filevine as an Architect and later became the Director of Engineering in 2022.

Ryan Cline attended the Colorado School of Mines, where they pursued a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mathematical and Computer Sciences. Their field of study at the university was Computer Science, and they also pursued a minor in Economics and Business. Specific start and end years for their education were not provided.
