Leon Kiesgen is a Mechatronics Engineer at Filics since September 2024, previously serving as a Research Assistant at the Munich Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence from March 2022 to September 2024. In April 2019, Leon worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at BMW Group, focusing on high power battery model design, sensor data analysis, and battery simulation. Leon also co-founded EnHands, a student group dedicated to accessible prosthetics, in May 2022. Additionally, experience includes being a Research Assistant for the Roborace Competition at FTM Institute of Automotive Technology TUM, where the bachelor thesis focused on velocity planning for autonomous racecars.
