James Brown

James Brown has a strong background in software development and technical leadership. James started their career at Halliburton (Landmark Software) in 2011 as a Software Developer, where they focused on full-stack development and building solutions for data duplication and quality issues. James then joined Benevity in 2015, where they held multiple roles including Java Developer, Software Development People Lead, and Senior Software Developer. At Benevity, James drove the technical direction for a product line and coached developers on code ownership and deployment. Most recently, they joined Fillip in 2021 as a Senior Software Developer and was promoted to Technical Lead in May 2022.

James Brown earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science from the University of Calgary, where they studied from 2006 to 2011.
