Film Sense provides innovative ellipsometry solutions that make advanced thin film measurement more accessible to researchers, engineers, educators, and manufacturers. Our mission is to deliver high-performance thin film metrology systems that combine speed, precision, reliability, and ease of use without the complexity traditionally associated with ellipsometry.

Our family of ellipsometry systems includes the FS-4 and FS-8 Multi-Wavelength Ellipsometers and the FS-300 Mapping Ellipsometer, supporting applications ranging from routine film thickness measurement to advanced optical characterization and large-area thin film mapping.

Film Sense instruments utilize multi-wavelength LED illumination, advanced optical designs, and snapshot ellipsometry technology to deliver fast, repeatable measurements. Our systems characterize thin film thickness, optical properties (n and k), refractive index, extinction coefficient, film uniformity, and other material properties across a wide range of applications.
Film Sense ellipsometers are commonly used in research and industry for semiconductor metrology, thin film process development, optical coatings, photovoltaics, display technologies, advanced materials research, nanotechnology, quality control, and education.

By combining powerful measurement capabilities with compact designs, Film Sense systems can be deployed in research labs, manufacturing environments, process monitoring applications, and teaching laboratories. Our solutions help users obtain actionable characterization data quickly and confidently, enabling faster decisions and improved process understanding.
As thin film technologies continue to advance, Film Sense remains committed to shaping the future of ellipsometry through innovation, engineering excellence, and customer-focused solutions.

From rapid measurements to advanced mapping, Film Sense delivers Performance Without Compromise—bringing the future of ellipsometry within reach.
