Modesto Luengo

Modesto Luengo has extensive work experience in risk management and banking. Modesto started their career in 1989 with engineering experience in various companies. Modesto then moved to Santander Investment in 1998, where they served as the Global Chief Technology Officer for Wholesale Banking. In 2000, they joined Banco Santander and held positions as VP of Private Equity and MD of Wholesale Corporate Credit Risk. In 2011, Luengo joined Santander UK as the Chief Credit Officer for Global Banking & Markets. Modesto later became the Chief Risk Officer for Global Banking & Markets at Santander España in 2014. Luengo then served as the Deputy Chief Risk Officer at Santander Asia-Pacific in 2015. Modesto took a career break from 2016 to 2017 before joining FINALBION as the Chief Risk Officer until 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Risk Officer at FIMBank plc.

Modesto Luengo has an Executive MBA from IESE Business School. Additionally, they hold a (MSc) Superior Graduate degree in Computer Sciences from the Universidad de Valladolid. No specific start or end years are provided for either educational experience.
