Simon Vickery

Simon Vickery has over 18 years of work experience, with their most recent position being the Head of Non-Credit Risk at FIMBank plc since January 2019. In this role, they are responsible for managing operational, market, and regulatory risks within the group. Simon is also the chairman of the Operational Risk Management Committee and oversees various important processes such as ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Plan, and Resolution Plan. Previously, Simon had a career break from July 2017 to December 2018. Prior to that, they worked at HSBC for 15 years, holding various senior roles including Head of International, Senior Manager of International, Wholesale Credit Risk, Senior Capital Manager, Associate Director, and Relationship Manager. Before joining HSBC, Simon worked at Marsh as a Broker.

Simon Vickery received a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. Simon also holds an Intermediate Level Certificate from Escola Oficial d'Idiomes de Girona, obtained in June 2018. Additionally, they obtained the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 3 (Lower Intermediate Level) certification from the Ministry of Education, Japan, in 2006.
