Filippo Vernia

Filippo Vernia has extensive work experience in the field of engineering and digitalization. Filippo currently holds the position of Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at FIMER S.p.A since November 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Software Connectivity Manager at the same company from March 2020 to October 2022.

Before joining FIMER S.p.A, Filippo worked at ABB as the Global R&D coordinator for Digitalization activities in Solar from September 2017 to February 2020.

Earlier in their career, Filippo held various management positions at Power-One, including Global Director of Engineering from February 2012 to August 2017. Filippo was responsible for coordinating development teams in Italy and the USA, primarily involving the design of Embedded Firmware & Software solutions. Filippo also managed Web Portal Monitoring development teams for Solar & Wind Inverters. Filippo also served as the Director of Engineering from February 2008 to February 2012, managing Embedded Software & Firmware Teams in Italy, Slovakia, and the USA. Additionally, they were the Engineering Manager at Power-One from October 2006 to January 2008.

Filippo began their career at Magnetek, where they held the position of Engineering Manager from September 1993 to September 2006.

Filippo Vernia obtained their laurea degree in Ingegneria Elettronica from Università di Pisa, where they studied from 1983 to 1991. Filippo also holds additional certifications such as PSM I - Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org and SAFe Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc.
