Established in 2007 in Lyon, Financière Florentine first launched its micro venture capital fund as an industrial holding company with its original model definitely completed in 2013 (FF Participations).

With the support of a dozen of individual investors, reaching eventually the number of 25, the company raised 820k€, invested as ca. 50k€ - tickets across 21 ventures overall. Financière Florentine systematically added strategic and operational support to the venture teams in order to achieve success together.

The fund stopped investing in new ventures in 2021 and is slowly moving towards its closure by 2026-28, having met both its human (joining funding teams from the beginning) and financial objectives (positive IRR).

Meanwhile, since 2008, this experience was also shared across a wide variety of local universities through lectures (FF Formation).

Since 2024, this experience is being more widely shared as Strategic advisory to startups where FF experience would have the most impact.
