Mette Simonsen

Mette Simonsen is an experienced journalist and editor with a career spanning over two decades in prominent media organizations. Mette began as a praktikant at Dagbladet Ringsted and later worked at Reuters before joining the Danish Broadcasting Corporation/Danmarks Radio (DR) in March 2004 as a journalist. Mette held various positions at DR, including Erhvervsredaktør for DR Nyheder Erhverv og Økonomi from January 2014 to May 2017, and currently serves as Redaktionsleder for DR Perspektiv, overseeing P1-programmerne such as Orientering and Dokumentar. Additionally, Mette has experience as a host for P1 Følg Pengene and as a press chief at Finans Danmark since November 2025. Mette also pursued further education in digital storytelling for mobile platforms through a diploma program at DJH from 2019 to 2020.
