Michael Smart is currently the Director and Chief Representative for the Indo-Pacific at FinDev Canada, working from the organization's first international branch office in Singapore to support sustainable impact in emerging and developing markets. Previously, Michael held the position of Director and Strategy Lead for Global Business Development at Export Development Canada from 2023 to 2024 and served as Manager and Lead for Corporate Lending Asia for 20 years, managing a substantial corporate loan portfolio in the Asia Pacific region. Michael is pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business and Economics at Carleton University and a Master of Business Administration at Queen's University.
