Dr. Angela Lyons is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics at the University of Illinois and serves as the Director of the Center for Economic and Financial Education. With a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Lyons focuses on development and behavioral economics, particularly in economic and financial inclusion. They are a member of the T20, advising G20 leaders on global challenges, and have assisted over 40 countries in enhancing economic resilience. Currently, Dr. Lyons is also involved with the Global Fintech Index's Data Governance Council and conducts research on the economic challenges faced by Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
