Gerald Oliver

Gerald Oliver has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Gerald is currently working as an Agile Coach at Aunt Bertha, a Public Benefit Corporation since July 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Business Process Consultant at the City of Austin, starting in February 2021. In the same organization, they also worked as a Scrum Master & Operations Manager from October 2017 until February 2021.

Before joining the City of Austin, Gerald worked as a Systems Support Specialist at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission from May 2017 to October 2017. Gerald also gained experience as a Business Analyst at The Cobalt Partners from September 2016 to January 2017.

Gerald's earlier experiences include an internship as an International Social Work Intern at The University of Texas at Austin from January 2016 to July 2016, and serving as a Sr. Business Analyst at Accenture from October 2010 to December 2015. Gerald also worked as a Case Manager Intern at The University of Texas at Austin from September 2014 to July 2015.

Furthermore, Gerald has volunteered as a Management Information Officer at CUSO-VSO from October 2007 to September 2009. Gerald began their career as an Intern at Accenture in October 2004 and also had an internship at State Farm Insurance from 2000 to 2003.

Gerald Oliver obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and African/African American Studies from Duke University, where they attended from 2000 to 2004.

Gerald then pursued a Master's degree in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin, completing their studies from 2013 to 2016.

In terms of additional certifications, Gerald obtained the following certifications: "Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)" from Scrum Alliance in December 2017, and "Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®)" from Scrum Alliance in July 2018. Gerald also obtained various Agile-related certifications from LinkedIn, including "Agile at Work: Building Your Agile Team", "Agile Product Owner Role: Foundations", "Agile Project Management: Comparing Agile Tools", "Agile Foundations", "Agile at Work: Driving Productive Agile Meetings", "Agile at Work: Reporting with Agile Charts and Boards", "Stay Lean with Kanban", and "Cert Prep: PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP®)". These certifications were obtained between November 2020 and February 2021.
