Carlos Barja has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Carlos is currently employed as a Senior QA Engineer at FINEOS since June 2021. Prior to this, they co-founded a company called P.I.C. in 2017, where they played a crucial role in setting up the company and implementing a software system for trading swaps automation. At Vector ITC Group, they worked as a Senior QA Engineer from October 2018 to June 2021. Before that, they served as a Test Engineer at PORTEL Logistic Technologies, where they contributed to the completion of the "Secure" project and developed Big Data dashboards using tools like Qlikview and Hadoop. Carlos also worked as a Quality Assurance Consultant at Zemsania Tech Services & Solutions, where they implemented test methodologies and processes for Portel, a government organization. Carlos gained experience as a Senior Test Analyst at Accenture, where they were involved in test case analysis and design for projects and managed the software testing process. Carlos has also worked as a Software Test Consultant at Electronic Times Co., Ltd., Process Automation Engineer at B&R Industrial Automation, and Software Test Analyst at Electronic Times Ltd. Additionally, they served as a Spanish Culture Ambassador at the Korean National Commission for UNESCO. Throughout their career, Carlos has demonstrated expertise in various test tools, technologies, and methodologies, such as Selenium WebDriver, Test Link, SoapUI, IBM Rational Functional Tester, and Agile methodologies like SCRUM.
Carlos Barja attended the University of Brighton from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Science. In addition to their degree, they also obtained certification in ISEB (ISTQB) from the BCS (British Computer Society) in November 2004 and certification in Sun Certified Java 2 from Sun Microsystems in September 2003.
