Ciaran de Buitlear

Ciaran De Buitlear has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Ciaran started their career as a clerical officer at Dublin Corporation in 1987. Ciaran then worked as an IT professional at Dimension Marketing from 1992 to 1993, and as a software engineer at Prose from 1993 to 1995.

In 1995, Ciaran joined Quest Computing, where they held various roles including software engineer, team leader, project manager, technical architect, product manager, business analyst, and implementations manager. Ciaran was also a member of the board of management at Quest until April 2008.

Following their time at Quest Computing, Ciaran worked as an Oracle Performance Specialist at vhi healthcare from 2008 to 2010. There, they led the performance team and was responsible for maintaining the system performance and availability of key systems related to health insurance.

From 2010 to 2013, Ciaran worked as a DB2 Solutions Consultant at IBM before joining FINEOS in 2013 as a Senior Data and Business Intelligence Engineer. At FINEOS, they focused on data, database, and business intelligence-related tasks. This includes knowledge sharing, best practices, cloud deployment, performance monitoring and tuning, problem determination, HADR, BI (Qlikview), and data analytics.

Ciaran De Buitlear completed their Leaving Certificate at Greendale Community School from 1979 to 1985. Ciaran then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Applications at Dublin City University from 1988 to 1992.
