Paul Ryan

Scrum Master at FINEOS

Paul Ryan has more than 30 years of work experience. Paul started their career in 1991 as a Programmer/Analyst at Cavalier Computers Ltd and worked there until 1995. From 1995 to 1996, they worked as an Ingres Specialist at Irish Fertiliser Industries. Then, they moved on to Enterprise Systems Group Ltd in 1996 and worked there until 1997 as an Ingres Specialist. In 1997, they joined Superquinn and worked as an Ingres Specialist until 1998.

In 1998, they joined IONA Technologies as a Senior Analyst for the Business Process Systems team. Paul then took on various roles within the company, including Senior Technical Analyst and Principal Technical Analyst. During their time at IONA, they worked on projects ranging from CRM to Internal Enterprise Integration and also took up the role of a DBA, using different database systems.

In 2008, Paul joined Progress Software as a Principal Technical Lead after the acquisition of IONA Technologies by Progress Software. Paul was responsible for the integration of IONA's business applications and processes to Progress Software.

In 2010, Paul started working at FINEOS as a Senior Product Analyst. Paul was primarily involved in the initial phases of projects, interacting with clients and professional services to define requirements and develop solutions. Paul focused on analytics and claim analysis reporting, as well as shaping graphical representation and reporting schema for supported RDBMS platforms. Later, in 2017, they became a Scrum Master at FINEOS, leading a team of software engineers and following Agile principles to deliver FINEOS AdminSuite.

Overall, Paul Ryan has extensive experience in technical analysis, project management, and software development within the IT industry.

Paul Ryan obtained a Diploma in Computer Science from Technological University Dublin, where they studied from 1988 to 1991. Prior to that, they completed their Leaving Certificate at Old Bawn Community School from 1983 to 1988. In addition, Paul Ryan holds several certifications including Certified ScrumMaster® from Scrum Alliance (obtained in September 2017), Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org (obtained in June 2015), and Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO) from SCRUM ALLIANCE® (obtained in December 2013).
