Tim Williams

Tim Williams has a diverse work experience in the field of database administration and system administration. Tim started their career as a UNIX Administrator at GE Capital in 1994 and then moved on to work as a UNIX Administrator at Lucent/Success Systems and GTE/Verizon Wireless.

In 1999, they joined E*Trade as an Oracle DBA/Senior System Administrator, where they were responsible for setting up servers and monitoring website traffic. Tim also developed backup and recovery strategies and implemented Oracle RDBMS for international environments.

Tim then joined Verizon Wireless in 2000 as a Senior Member Technical Staff/Oracle DBA. Tim monitored databases, implemented backup and recovery strategies, and worked closely with the application team to develop new initiatives. Tim also managed the workload of consultants, created and documented policies and procedures, and provided systems analysis and design.

In 2011, Tim joined Gentiva Healthcare as a Lead Oracle DBA and later became a Senior Oracle DBA at Gentiva Health Services. In these roles, they were involved in upgrading databases, implementing monitoring tools, performance tuning applications, and implementing data archival and partitioning. Tim also played a key role in implementing PeopleSoft Financials, HR, and Enterprise Portal.

From 2013 to 2017, Tim worked at Sierra-Cedar as an Oracle Database Administrator. In this role, they performed monitoring and tuning of Oracle databases and RAC Clusters.

Currently, Tim is employed as a Senior Database Engineer at FINEOS since 2018, where they apply their expertise and database skills to support the organization.

Throughout their career, Tim has demonstrated a strong understanding of database administration, system administration, monitoring, tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and international implementation of Oracle databases.

Tim Williams attended the University of Phoenix from 2001 to 2003, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology. Prior to that, from 1982 to 1984, Tim attended Irvington Tech. However, no specific degree or field of study information was provided for this institution.
