With a healthcare career, we have had the privilege of working with individuals navigating significant life transitions. Time and again, we witnessed patients returning home, only to find that their once-comfortable space was no longer safe or accessible. Stairs became obstacles, bathrooms posed risks, and doorways no longer welcomed movement with ease. It was difficult to witness people facing challenges in their own homes, a place that typically offers comfort, independence, and security.
