Before starting Finexio in 2015, Ernest spent 10 years in the payments processing industry as a strategy and business development executive focused on accounts payable and disbursement business models.

As Vice President of Corporate Alliances at Change Healthcare, the largest healthcare payments company in the United States, he identified and developed unique fintech investment and partnership opportunities, eventually growing their electronic payments business to $3.5B in annual spend. Previously, Ernest was a Vice President at Mastercard on the US Market Development Emerging Verticals team, where he was responsible for driving innovative products and solutions to meet the needs of the healthcare ecosystem.

Prior to MasterCard, Ernest was a founding member of Ernst & Young’s West Coast Working Capital Advisory Services practice, partnering with leading Fortune 500 companies to identify areas of improvement in the cash conversion cycle, as well as developing and implementing programs to release cash, improve service, and reduce costs.

In 2017, Ernest moved Finexio to Orlando from Silicon Valley. Since then he has raised over $28 million in venture capital funding.

Ernest graduated with a BA in History from New York University. He also holds a MSc in International Public Policy from University College London in London, England.
