Karen Johnson is an accomplished journalist and editor with extensive experience in various prestigious organizations. At The McClatchy Company, Karen played a key role as a news editor, national digital editor, and news network editor, contributing to a Pulitzer Prize-winning project on the Panama Papers. Previous experience includes reporting and copy editing for The Wall Street Journal, where a focus on markets and economic reporting was established, as well as copy editing at The Globe and Mail, Canada’s largest national newspaper. Karen has also served as the head of content for the Robert H. Smith School of Business, managing comprehensive communications. Additional roles spanned various media outlets, including freelance work for PRWeek and The Associated Press, with a foundational education in journalism and English from Central Michigan University.
