Eric G. has held a variety of roles in both the public and private sectors. From 2006 to 2010, they were Chief Counsel for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI), Staff Director and Counsel for the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigation of HPSCI, and Deputy Director of Operations for U.S. Cyber Command. In 2010, they moved to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as Deputy Director of the National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force. From 2013 to 2015, they were Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Cybersecurity at The White House, and also served as a Consultant for the U.S. Digital Service at The White House. During the same period, they were an Advisor and General Counsel for [redacted], and a Cybersecurity Fellow at The Robert Strauss Center for International Security and Law. From 2019 to 2021, they were Principal at the Law Offices of Eric A. Greenwald, and since 2021 they have been General Counsel for Finite State.
Eric G. attended the University of Michigan Law School from 1993 to 1996, where they obtained their J.D. in International Law. Prior to that, they attended Yale University from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained their B.A. in International Relations, Political Science, Russian, and Intelligence.
