Michael Serna has an extensive work experience in various fields. Michael started their career in 2010 as an Investment Banking Undergraduate Fellow at Goldman Sachs. In the same year, they also worked as a Summer Analyst at the US Department of Treasury. In 2011, they served as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Citi.
In 2012, Michael worked as a Body Man for Emanuel Pleitez's campaign for Los Angeles Mayor. Michael then joined Teach For America in 2013 as a Math Teacher, where they worked until 2015.
Since 2016, Michael has been associated with Finix. Michael initially worked as a Software Engineer and Co-Founder, contributing to the company until 2020. Michael then transitioned into the role of Senior Product Manager, where they currently work.
Michael Serna attended the University of Southern California, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics. Following this, they enrolled at Hack Reactor in 2016, though the duration of their studies there is unclear.
