Jordi Torra

Jordi Torra has extensive work experience in various technology-related roles. Jordi started their career as a C++ Junior Developer at Naturgest, S.L. in 2001, where they worked on a GIS application. Jordi then joined Accenture in 2002 as a Developer, specializing in setting up Microsoft Exchange servers and integrating LDAP authentication for mobile devices. At Zemsania, from 2003 to 2004, they developed custom administrations using ASP.net and Oracle for government projects.

From 2004 to 2005, they worked at Astro Servicios Informáticos, SL as an Analyst, developing applications for PDAs and building custom solutions for the internal portal documentation. Jordi then served as CTO at FXstreet.com from 2005 to 2014, overseeing the development team, infrastructure, and deployment to Azure.

At Doctoralia, from 2014 to 2018, they held the role of CTO, where they managed the IT team, migrated the system to the cloud, and rewrote the old ASP site to ASP.net C#. Following that, they joined ALEA as CTO in 2018, where they focused on team hiring, breaking the monolith by migrating to Kubernetes, and ensuring compliance and cost control.

In their subsequent role as CTO at Suntransfers.com from 2019 to 2020, they continued to lead technological efforts. Currently, they are the Co-Founder and CTO of FinLoop.com since 2020, where they have been instrumental in hiring a team, planning and executing strategies, and employing various technologies such as .net core, Kubernetes, and AWS.

Jordi Torra completed their Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya from 2002 to 2007. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mathematics from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from 1994 to 2001. In addition to their formal education, Jordi Torra has earned additional certifications such as the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) from Linux Academy in November 2018 and the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in September 2012.
