Laura Tscherrig

Laura Tscherrig has a diverse work experience in the legal and financial sectors. Laura is currently working at the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA as the Head of Portfolio Managers and Trustees since November 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Specialist in the Asset Management division at FINMA from April 2021 to October 2022.

Before joining FINMA, Laura worked at FRORIEP as a Senior Associate from June 2019 to March 2021. Laura also held the position of Senior Associate at Lenz & Staehelin from October 2017 to May 2019.

At Lenz & Staehelin, Laura previously worked as a Senior Associate from July 2016 to August 2016 and as an Associate from July 2013 to June 2016. Laura began their career at Lenz & Staehelin as an Avocate-stagiaire (Substitutin/Trainee) from July 2011 to January 2013.

Laura Tscherrig's education history starts in 2010 when they earned a Certificate in Transnational Legal Studies from the Center for Transnational Legal Studies at King's College in London. From 2006 to 2011, they attended Université de Fribourg - Universität Freiburg, where they obtained both a Bachelor of Law and a Master of Law degree, specializing in the field of law. In 2011, they also pursued a Certificat de spécialisation en matière d'avocature at the University of Geneva. Finally, in 2016 to 2017, Laura Tscherrig attended the University of Chicago Law School and completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree.
