Thomas Kang

Thomas Kang has over 30 years of experience in the finance and technology industries. Thomas began their career in 1990 as a Principal Engineer/GS12 at the Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center. In 2000, they moved to Agilent Technologies Inc. as an International Finance Manager in Corporate Treasury. In 2002, they served as Interim CFO at Transact In Memory, Inc., a company that developed a next-generation in-memory row-oriented DBMS optimized for OLTP scalability. In 2003, they joined Citi as a Managing Director and Country Head of FX & Derivatives Sales, and later became Managing Director, Asia Pacific Regional Head of Corporate Sales and Solutions (CSS) RTC & FX PLUS. In 2016, they took on the role of Head of Global Outreach | Business Development at M-DAQ Global. From 2019 to present, they have worked at Voveo Capital as a Managing Partner, and at Rapyd as Director of Enterprise Sales and Director Of Business Development. Thomas is currently Co-Founder of Finmo.

Thomas Kang's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC Irvine, which they obtained between 1986 and 1990. Thomas then went on to earn a Master's of Business Administration from Yale School of Management between 1998 and 2000. Additionally, in January 2022, they obtained five certifications from Coursera in Decentralized Finance (DeFi): Deep Dive, Infrastructure, Opportunities and Risks, Primitives, and The Future of Finance Specialization.
