I've been working with client companies in a variety of marketing roles since 1999 so the work varies across that time period. Sometimes it’s a pure mentoring role, sometimes it’s brand development, redevelopment or deployment. Other times it’s highly strategic and the visible evidence of the work is only reflected in confidential documents. But always, always it’s about how to create great marketing because, simply put – great marketing works.

My passion is around brands; creating them and realising them.

In creating them I tend to look strategically at the business, the offering and how it resonates with the marketplace in terms of competitors and customers. It’s not enough just to get the business owners perspective.  We must look to the market to ensure that what we are creating together and what you are investing in is something that is commercially viable and unique.

Once this foundation is laid I move to the creative and build a story that captures this positioning both verbally and visually.  That’s the fun bit and you can see an example of some of this work on my website. You’ll note the diversity of industry and business type.

Once we get to this point the work doesn’t stop there. This is where  we take all this work around market positioning and brand development and figure out ways to use it effectively and with impact.

I work with you then to bring the brand to life and make the story that we created true.  It’s not just about creating a single marketing campaign but a way to communicate, engage and interact with customers consistently to build loyalty and ultimately a profitable business.
