Director of Product Delivery at Finosec

Michael Shields has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Michael currently serves as the Director of Product Delivery at Finosec since May 2023 and previously held the position of UAR Program Manager at the same company since March 2021. Prior to joining Finosec, Shields worked as an IT Engineer/IT Manager at j5create from November 2018 to March 2021. Michael also served as AVP, IT Support Manager/System Administrator at Hamilton State Bank from March 2012 to November 2018, overseeing support operations for multiple locations and managing a team of network and system administrators. Shields began their career as a Systems Engineer at ETC Communications from May 2004 to January 2012, where they supported internal and consumer ISP networks. Before that, they served in the US Army as a 13 Bravo Cannon Crew Member from March 1995 to March 1999, taking on various responsibilities such as Training NCO and handling sensitive documents.

Michael Shields attended North Georgia Technical College from 2001 to 2004, where they obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in Networking Specialist and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Internet Specialist, both with a focus on Information Technology. In addition to their education, Shields has earned certifications as a Certified Identity and Access Manager from the Identity Management Institute in June 2022, and as a Certified SonicWALL System Administrator in January 2016.
