Micheal Imerman

Michael Imerman currently serves as the Interim Director at the Center for Investment & Wealth Management (CIWM) since September 2023. Concurrently, Imerman holds the position of Faculty Director for the Master of Finance (MFin) program and serves as an Assistant Professor of Teaching in Finance at the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business since July 2022. Previously, Imerman was an Associate Professor of Finance (tenured) and Academic Co-Director of the Financial Engineering Program at Claremont Graduate University from August 2018 to July 2022, and also worked as a Visiting Scholar & FinTech Policy Advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco in early 2022. Prior roles included distinguished professorship at Lehigh University and postdoctoral research at Princeton University. Imerman earned a Ph.D. in Finance and Economics from Rutgers Business School and a B.S. in Finance from Rutgers University. Research interests encompass Risk Management, Credit Risk Modeling, and Financial Engineering.
