Tom Petro

Tom Petro has a long and varied career in the business world. In 2016, they became Managing General Partner of 1867 Capital Partners, where they and partner Kris Messner advise portfolio company CEOs and management teams on revenue growth strategies, cash flow management, personnel matters, M&A and capital raising, board governance and other matters related to scaling revenue & earnings and executing successful exits. In 2021, they became Board Member in Residence at Mach49 and Board Member, Chair Finance Committee at USA Nordic Sport. Tom also served as Board Director, Chair Trust Committee, Vice Chair Risk Management Committee at Univest in 2016, Board Director at Fintegra in 2018, Angel Investor at Trice Medical in 2013, Independent Board Director at Genome Profiling in 2016, Chair Of The Board Of Directors at OrthogenRx in 2016, Independent Board Director at WealthHub Solutions, Inc in 2016, and Chair Of The Board Of Directors at BizEquity in 2017. BizEquity was acquired in a cash transaction in August 2019.

Tom Petro obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Management, Magna Cum Laude, with a focus in Finance, General from Point Park University in 1991. In 1987, they obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Banking from the same university. In 2021, they obtained the NACD Directorship Certification\u00ae from the National Association of Corporate Directors. In 2020, they obtained a CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight for Board Members from Carnegie Mellon University. Tom also obtained Executive Education from The Wharton School (Mergers and Acquisitions Program in 2002), Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management (Advanced Bank CEO Leadership Program in 1999), Harvard University (Negotiation for Leaders in 1997), and Yale University (Advanced Leadership Program in 1995).
