Stuart Boyd

Stuart Boyd is a seasoned engineer with a comprehensive background in research and development, mechanical engineering, and 3D printing. Currently serving as a Senior R&D Engineer at FIRE1 since April 2025, Stuart previously held the position of Senior Mechanical Engineer at Nutromics, where significant contributions included developing a clinical study device that dramatically reduced failure rates and production costs. Stuart's expertise spans multiple roles at DePuy Synthes, ranging from Graduate Bioengineer to 3D-Printing Engineer, focusing on orthopedic products. Prior experience includes managing athletic programs at Camp Wingate*Kirkland and providing BIM services at AIS Ltd. Stuart holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath, complemented by various roles in project management and engineering during earlier professional experiences.
