Avi Bashan

Avi Bashan is an experienced professional in the fields of cybersecurity and technology, currently serving as the Head of R&D for Wallet Solutions and Web3 and Tokenization at Fireblocks since November 2022. Prior to this role, Avi co-founded and held the position of CTO at Kovrr, providing expertise in cyber risk quantification from July 2017 to October 2024. Alongside these positions, Avi lectured on cyber security at Bar-Ilan University, focusing on the perspectives of attackers for future security leaders from October 2017 to September 2022. Avi's previous experience includes leadership roles in R&D at Check Point Software Technologies, where responsibilities included leading mobile security research, and in earlier roles at Lacoon Mobile Security, Comsec Consulting, and the IDF. Avi holds a B.Med.Sc in Medical Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
