Dea Markova

Dea Markova is an experienced professional in the fields of policy, finance, and regulation, currently serving as the Director of Policy at Fireblocks since October 2024. As an Affiliate at the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance, Markova collaborates with research teams to analyze global digital finance regulation. Previously, Markova held leadership roles at Forefront Advisers and FTI Consulting EU, focusing on crypto-assets and advocacy during MiCA negotiations. Additional experience includes contributions to the International Financial Services Centres Authority and the Monetary Authority of Singapore, along with significant previous positions at Innovate Finance, Deloitte UK, and Political Capital Bulgaria. Markova holds an MSc in Financial Regulation from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in Political Science, Economics, and Russian from Bryn Mawr College.
