Angela Bole has an extensive work experience in the publishing and technology industry. Angela currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Firebrand Technologies, a company that provides technology solutions for publishers. Prior to this, they worked as an Instructor at UCLA Extension from 2020 to 2023. From 2013 to 2022, Angela held the position of Chief Executive Officer at the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), where they focused on advocacy, education, and supporting independent publishers. Angela has also been a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee at the Book Industry Study Group (BISG) from 2009 to 2018, and a Member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer at the International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF) from 2011 to 2016. Before that, Angela worked as a Project Manager at TechWeb in the Live Events Group and held various roles at Book Industry Study Group, Inc. and Main Event Books, Videos and Music. Their experience spans leadership, education, advocacy, and project management in the publishing and technology sectors.

Angela Bole obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English and Gender Studies from Indiana University Bloomington in 2004. Following this, from 2005 to 2007, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Publishing from New York University.
