Eric Lopez is an experienced Ground Fluid Systems Engineer III at Firefly Aerospace since August 2022, responsible for the RP-1 and Thrust Vector Control system on the Medium Launch Vehicle engine test stand. Prior to this role, Eric served as a Mentor for Space City Rocketry, guiding a competition rocket team, and worked as a Mechanical Engineer I at Iron Ring Technologies, where significant contributions included the design and fabrication of propulsion test stands and fluid systems for lunar landers. Earlier experience includes an internship at Fruition Technology Labs, leading engineering projects as the Lead Engineer for a student rocket team at the University of Houston, and managing operations at The Chocolate Bar. Eric holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston, completed in 2020.
