Mike Cerna

Mike Cerna is an experienced engineering manager specializing in ground software development for rocket test and launch operations. Currently serving as the Manager of Ground Software at Firefly Aerospace since December 2020, Mike leads a team focused on critical software systems for rocket testing and launch. Prior roles include Lead Engineer and Ground Software Engineer at Firefly Aerospace, where efforts enhanced LabVIEW-based user interfaces and data acquisition systems. Mike's earlier experience includes a Software Engineer III position at Hiller Measurements and a long tenure at National Instruments, where responsibilities ranged from senior software engineering to group management, including significant contributions to the LabVIEW software suite. Mike holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
