René Spronk

René Spronk has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, primarily focused on standards and interoperability. René is currently working at Firely as a Training Product Manager and Trainer, where they offer software products, services, and training courses related to the HL7 FHIR standard. Prior to this, René has been a contributor and active member at HL7 International since 2001, playing a crucial role in creating and implementing healthcare standards globally. René has also been involved with Stichting HL7 Nederland since 1995, contributing to the localization of HL7 standards for use in the Dutch context. René has worked at Ringholm as a Trainer and Training Coordinator, providing training courses and services related to open standards for healthcare systems integration. Additionally, they have served as a Senior Consultant for Cloverleaf, working for both the US organization and various European distributors, specializing in systems integration in healthcare.

René Spronk obtained a Master of Science in Engineering degree in Computer Science from the University of Twente, where they studied from 1986 to 1993.
