As CEO and Owner of Firemelon Ltd since September 1998, David leads a company known for its innovative software for the travel insurance sector, utilized by over 35 industry clients. Additionally, David serves as Chairman and Owner of Medical Travel Compared Limited and Burgess Hill Town Football Club, while also holding director and co-owner positions at Claims Rated. David's prior roles include Chairman and Owner at CYTI Developments Limited and CYTI Limited, recognized for providing leading price comparison software for travel, life, and pet insurance in the UK. Prior to these ventures, David worked as a Project Manager at Publicis between July 1996 and October 1998. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Office Automation/Technology/Data Entry from Northumbria University.

Founded in 1998, Firemelon is a well-established, very busy, insurance software company based in Belfast who offer technology solutions to international clients across different product lines. We’ve been a Microsoft Gold partner for several years working with the Microsoft technology stack including .NET MVC, Azure SQL and Azure SaaS. Our Magenta system, powers many insurance brands including Sainsburys Bank, Bupa, Admiral and MoreThan as well as smaller broker businesses. We have partnerships with medical screening services, payment providers and we work closely with the big UK aggregators. This year has seen us deliver our first Spanish and Italian websites and we’ve enabled claims companies to benefit from AI based solutions, with online and automated claims technology. We have a brilliant team in Belfast who are committed to providing our clients with a quality, yet cost effective solution to meet their needs and helping those clients get the best out of that system. We have a flexible approach to working hours and location and for those working in the office, a modern large office space to be creative with other teams.
