David Burns

David Burns is an experienced operations and product development professional, currently serving as the Director of Operations at Firestorm since August 2023. Prior to this role, David operated as a consultant specializing in product development and operations from February 2023 to August 2023. David's previous experience includes a position as a Senior EPM at Elevate, contributing to product development and operational optimization for a medical device startup from June 2021 to February 2023. David spent ten years at Speck Products, where roles included Operations Manager for Manufacturing/Sourcing, Director of Product Development, and Project Manager, leading various initiatives across multiple teams and supplier bases. Earlier, David worked at Sealed Air Corporation as a Production Manager, implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational efficiency, and began the career as a Project Manager at Kevin's Carpentry. David holds both a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Technical Studies from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
