Matt McFadden

Matt McFadden is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in embedded software development and project management. Currently serving as Principal Embedded Software Engineer and Avionics SW Platform Team Lead at Firestorm since April 2025, McFadden previously held key leadership roles at Teal Drones, including Vice President of Engineering and Principal Embedded Software Engineer. With a solid foundation in embedded systems and software from positions at OrthAlign, Inc., Freedom Innovations, Lantronix, and US Software, McFadden's expertise encompasses firmware engineering, design, and development for advanced prosthetic devices, as well as network and system testing for hardware manufacturers like Intel and Tektronix. McFadden holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Portland State University and further education from the University of Utah.
