Timo Rüppell

Timo Rüppell has over 25 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Timo started their career as a Summer Student at CERN in 1997 and later worked as a Research Assistant at CERN in 1998. Timo then joined Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences as an Assistant Teacher for a few months in 2001. In the same year, they became a Member of the Board of the Particle Physics Division at The Finnish Physical Society. From 2002 to 2013, they worked as a Researcher at the Helsinki Institute of Physics. In 2012, Timo co-founded Sideric and served as a Founder, overseeing the design, construction, subcontracting, and delivery of their iOS app until 2015. Timo then worked as a Lead Developer at PiggyBaggy/CoReorient from 2014 to 2016. In 2016, they joined Mapita Ltd. as the CTO, where they were responsible for product and service design and development, as well as security and privacy management and compliance. Finally, in 2023, Timo joined FireTail.io as the VP Product.

Timo Rüppell completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Theoretical particle physics from Helsinki University in 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Theoretical particle physics from the University of Helsinki between 1994 and 2002.
