Jacob Marble

Jacob Marble is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently employed at Firetiger as a software engineer since January 2025, Jacob contributes to the development of an observability database management system utilizing Iceberg and OpenTelemetry. Previously, Jacob served as the software engineering manager for the IOx team at InfluxData, overseeing the implementation of a next-generation storage engine for InfluxDB, and held roles as a technical lead and senior software engineer, contributing significantly to the InfluxDB storage engine and leading various software design and documentation initiatives. Jacob's earlier experience includes positions at Kochava, Google, and the Utah Army National Guard, where a range of software engineering tasks and military service were undertaken. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Utah State University and various certifications and associate degrees in intelligence operations and language studies.
