Peter Hemstead, CPA, CMA, is a senior financial executive with over 20 years of experience in the mining industry, with the last 10 years in senior roles at publicly listed companies. Currently, Peter serves as the Director at Fireweed Metals and has held key positions such as Interim President & Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer at various mining companies. Peter was instrumental in Capstone Mining Corp's transition from a development stage company to a significant copper producer, focusing on corporate finance and risk management. They began their career at PwC Canada, offering tax and business advice to a diverse clientele. Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Economics and Finance from Huron University College.
